Another school year has quickly flown by. And it was another great school year for Ashton! He is officially a 4th grader now. Ashton had to leave early on his last day of 3rd grade as he had his Occupational Therapy Evaluation for services over the summer. I just love that the OT he sees in the medical setting is also the Special Education OT that works with him each week in school. Miss Jen and him have a great rapport. She knows him well, picks up on this subtle changes and keeps him on task.
Of course we had to take a picture of Ashton with his teacher Rachel Mroczenski before we left. Every teacher the children have had at Marathon Area Elementary School and Marathon Venture Academy have been absolutely wonderful. And we have been thru 8 of the 10 grades there so far. On the way to the elevator we ran into Jody Culhane, a Special Education Aide who has worked with Ashton the past three years. Was so nice to be able to say good-bye to her on her last day before retiring. She is so sweet and we sure will miss her! The photo with MaDonna Enkers, a Special Education Teacher is from the night before at 8th Grade Graduation, she was there assisting one of Sydney’s classmates. She is so fun, full of energy and gets Ashton engaged. Ashton has been spending more of his Special Education classroom time with her as he gets older and the many new younger students have been keeping Mrs. Free busy.
